About Us

The history of wine company "Mareuli" began in 2012 in the village of Sanavardo in the region Kakheti. The company owns 400 hectares of land, most of them are located in Kindzmarauli protected micro-zone. Our company produces wines, brands, sparkling wine, and chacha – Georgian vodka. It should be noted that all of them are made of grapes only from Georgian varieties, using as well Georgian traditional method of winemaking, also European method. In Georgia, wine plays an important role in public relations and the country's traditional hospitality, promoting friendly relations and obtaining a reputation. Our company strives to follow these traditions and is also focused on innovations - to improve the quality of our products.

  • This is a semi-dry red wine, named after the greatest Georgian painter – Niko Pirosmani. It is produced since 1981 and made from Saperavi and other red grape varieties, which are picked up in the villages of Gurjaani region, Kakheti. It has red and black berries aroma, full of tannins and strength.

  • Rkatsiteli is the most widely spread variety in Georgia. It is perfect for making both white dry and amber Kvevri wines. Our classic Rkatsiteli perfectly portrays the potential of the grape variety. We pick the selected grapes at 18-22%, after removing the stem and de-pressing, juice is moved to the cleansing reservoir and kept there for 15-18 hours. It has very good fruit flowers and pineapple aromas.

  • Saperavi is one of the top red varieties in Georgia and worldwide. It has been noted by a number of foreign scientist and wine masters, that our Saperavi is the variety of the future. Our Saperavi is aged in Kvevri for 6 months. In harvest, after the fermentation is complete, we remove skin and leave the wine in Kvevri till February-March. The wine has very effective aroma with notes of ripe black fruit and dried berries. Moderate tannins make our Saperavi very elegant wine.

  • Khvanchara is one of the nation’s rarest and most precious wine. The original wine of Khvanchkara is produced since 1932, but wines of this style were produced much earlier. It is cultivated in Racha region, in the protected micro-zone of the “Khvanchkara“. The wine has very effective aromas of red fruit, berries and flowers. It is an ideal fusion of sweetness and acidity.
